Rival tech companies have no problem promoting their products by ridiculing Apple’s, as evidenced by Microsoft’s recent anti-iPhone ads it had to end up pulling off the internet out of embarrassment.
In a new commercial for Nokia’s 2520 tablet running Windows RT, we are privileged to hear the inner dialogue of a man with an indistinguishable accent in a coffee shop wrestle over whether he truly loves his iPad. He finds it impossible to meaningfully connect with members of the opposite sex because of his iPad’s shortcomings, and we are supposed to sympathize with his inner torment. Then he sees the light of day when a girl whips out the Lumia 2520 with a physical keyboard. Microsoft Office! It all makes sense!
The man asks “Did I buy the wrong tablet?” at the end of the ad. No, but if you want a physical keyboard for the iPad, they are pretty easy to come by these days.

Pretty much dead on. Not sure how that is a “cheap shot” when Apple does this sort of thing to everyone else at nearly every presentation they have. The Nokia Lumia 2520 is an awesome tablet. I have one and it has cemented the death of the iPad for me. The iPad has remained off since I received it. RT has officially, for me, reached the status of having enough apps to accomplish what I need and I really like this tablet.
Not that I buy into all that, get the tablet you want (NO girls don’t care – they also get the one they want)
But lets say that i did buy into what they highlight then you get the following:
Hight Apple 165,5 nokia 168 difference 1,5%
With Apple 240 nokia 267 difference 11,3%
Thinkess Apple 75 nokia 89 difference 18,7%
Screen Apple 9,7 nokia 10,1 difference 4,1%
Weight Apple 469 nokia 615 difference 31,1%
PPI Apple 264 nokia 218 difference 17,4%
so you get 4.1% lager screen, and 17,5 % less pixels, great, also you get a tablet that is close to 1/3 more heavy – both has around 11 hours of battery (unless you buy a keyboard with a battery pack but hey I am sure that will weigh nothing)
also 1.5% higher, 11.3% wider, 18.7 thicker (before keyboard attachment) and you get 4.1% larger screen.. wow that was well spend – NOT
but let me say this one more time, if you want a nokia, get at nokia, but that tv spot us utter crap
