Are you ready for Ashton Kutcher to seduce you as Steve Jobs?

There are two Steve Jobs biographical films in the works in Hollywood right now. One is being written by Aaron Sorkin and sounds like it might be a hit. The other has been fast-tracked for a 2013 release, stars Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs, and is probably going to suck.

We’ll have to wait a while for Sorkin’s flick, but Ashton’s film, jOBS, has been filming throughout 2012 and will be making its official debut at the Sundance Film Festival this January in Park City, Utah.

jOBS is scheduled to be screened on January 27, 2013 which is the closing night of the Sundance festival. A major release date for the film has not been announced at this time.

jOBS will cover 30 years of Steve Jobs’ life from 1971 to 2000. Along with Ashton Kutcher, jOBS also starts Dermot Mulrony, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons, and Matthew Modine.

I’m honestly looking forward to jOBS more than the other one.

If you keep telling yourself it will be bad, and go in with bad expectations, your mind can and will convince you that it is poor flick.

@SupaMac fair enough. I just have low expectations of any movie that has a first time director, first time screenwriter, tries to cover 30 years in under 3 hours, and casts Ashton Kutcher as a serious dramatic actor.

I have the unfortunate luck of knowing both the director and screenwriter (through business, not friends). Thank god there’s no fx in this cause I’m not sure my boss could say hell no with a straight face and I know I couldn’t

I would not employ Ashton Kutcher as an actor to play a role of Ashton Kutcher !
    He would still suck.

Ashton Kutcher would be better cast as Steve Ballmer. He’s got that “deer in the headlights” look down pat.
