Silent Circle Will Keep Your iPhone’s Data From Being Intercepted

Silent Circle

No matter how careful you think you are, there’s always a chance that when you send an e-mail, text message, or make a call on your iPhone, someone could intercept it. For those who are concerned about security on their phones, a new suite of applications called Silent Circle will provide just the peace of mind you need to use your iPhone without worry.

Silent Circle essentially offers a layer of encryption for your data when you transfer it between devices. When you use any one of the four Silent Circle apps, all designed for different services, you can be sure that all your data will be kept secure and encrypted. The service is expected to cost $20 a month to use, but for anyone that deals with sensitive information on a regular basis, this will likely be a must have.

The man behind Silent Circle is Phil Zimmerman, the creator of Pretty Good Privacy, released way back in 1991. His goal is to promote privacy in the digital era, where our anonymity is becoming less and less important. What’s unique about Silent Circle is that its servers are located in Canada, where privacy laws are much more strict than they are here in the U.S.

Additionally, the majority of user data is kept off Silent Circle’s servers, to keep users of the service as protected as possible.

Silent Circle is expected to be released later this year. If you want more information about the service, check out the official webpage here.
