Along with the new Mac minis and MacBook Airs, Apple is also updating their 27-inch LED Cinema Display. But now they are calling it just the Thunderbolt Display.

It’s not so much different than the previous LED CInema Display, with the main upgrade being the fact that the new monitor can be daisy-chained across multiple Thunderbolt devices, but that’s a big upgrade in and of itself: it turns the Cinema Display into a hub.

Other specs include a built-in FaceTime HD camera, 2.1 speaker sound, a FireWire 800 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port and a second Thunderbolt port for the aforementioned Daisy Chaining. An integrated MagSafe cable will also allow you to power connected notebooks.

The only catch? The new Thunderbolt Display isn’t available yet. Instead, it’ll cost $999 and be available sometime in the next 60 days.
