Got an idea for a killer app? Consider huddling up for a weekend hackathon with designers and developers at iOSDev Camp 2011.

Organizer Raven Zachary expects about 500 people including iOS developers, designers, information architects and entrepreneurs. It’s the sixth time he’s put together this not-for-profit pow-wow.

PayPal is the main sponsor hosting the event at its San Jose headquarters of the event July 15-17. Tickets for the weekend are $50, which covers food.

Zachary is also seeking additional sponsors to help with camp accoutrements (badges, banners, equipment and the like). Participants should have previous experience on the platform, either the Native SDK or the web.

The weekend ends with an on-stage demo on Sunday and prizes  awarded for the best apps.

And if you participate — be sure and send us your cool 48-hour-app ideas…
