Of all the people in the world, you’d think Cultofmac.com readers would go bonkers for the iPad. But judging from Twitter reactions, they’re not sold — and Steve hasn’t even mentioned the price yet!
Here’s some of the feedback tweets we’re getting:
@cultofmac Just a big iPhone, nothing special just yet.

I was excited and ready this morning to plop down the money to get this thing. So far I haven’t seen anything to justify a purchase. I need them to tell me why/ how I need to use this with my iPhone and my iMac.

it might still find a home in my bathroom or kitchen depending on price… but as I said earlier, it’s got the same basic specs as my phone including screen resolution, (although the display is larger).
it does look cool though… for $500 a no brainer… over that it becomes a bit more effort to convince the wife.

What do you expect? That is the CoM effect in action. CoM exists only because of Apple and yet it is unable to understand what Apple is about, even as Apple breaks the mould of dreary expectations repeatedly.

meh, the ipad is getting pretty mixed reviews, even from celebrity musicians voicing their opinion through Twitter.
John Mayer loves it. Q-Tip not so much.
