The Apple Store is back online and updated with the new iPad 2. Apple won’t start selling the iPad in stores until 5pm on March 11th. Tragically, as our colleague John Brownlee noticed, there isn’t an ability to pre-order the iPad 2, as orders aren’t going to be taken until March 11th. Guess if you want an iPad on March 11th you’ll have to wait in line at the store with all the other crazy and deranged fans.

There is no way I am standing in line all day for a 5:00pm release time … Wow! … Pre-order would have been nice!
keep any eye on the store site. Just spoke with Apple on line rep who stated “these are the only ordering details we have……… at this time”……..
Let’s hope they change things up … Seems silly to start the line in the evening.
Selling at 5pm means they get press coverage all day
they’re douchey media whores, really. Apple is so fake.
Looks like i’ll be waiting in line with all the crazy fans!
They are a business. and do their jobs extremely well… idk about fake…..
No pre-order but lining up to buy?! There you go again! Apple is trying to create a hype of people lining up in stores to capture the news headline again. Same trick!
I refuse to drive 5 hours just to be treated like cattle waiting to be milked for some press spectacular. Wish I could get mine delivered on the day of release via preorder.
