Watch Steve Job’s WWDC Wi-Fi Meltdown

It’s hard to remember when one of Steve Jobs keynote speeches WWDC had a glitch, but the Demo Gods weren’t smiling on Jobs today. Thanks to network problems, Jobs had to ditch on a demo because of Wi-Fi trouble. But maybe it’s not some luckless Apple engineer’s fault: The same thing happened to Google during its developers conference last month at the same venue.

As a regular attendee of various events at the Moscone Center over the years (though, sadly, not this year), I’m actually more surprised when a demo works. The WiFi connectivity is pretty horrible and AT&T 3G is even worse. The only place I’ve been to that’s worse is the Las Vegas Convention Center. That was just hopeless at this year’s CES.
