There’s some great news for jailbreakers to end the week on, as the Pangu Team has just made its latest iOS 9.1. jailbreak available — offering iPad Pro users (along with the usual iOS suspects) the chance to jailbreak their device for the first time.

Pangu claims that its untethered iOS 9.1 jailbreak works with 64-bit devices including the following:

iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s
iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad Pro

Unfortunately it’s not available for the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPod touch 5G, iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad 3 or iPad 4. However, if you’ve got one of the 64-bit devices mentioned, you can get hold of Pangu’s jailbreak for both Mac and Windows from Pangu’s download page.

Pangu Team has become one of the main jailbreak players over the past few years. In its ongoing cat-and-mouse game with the jailbreak community, Apple has even publicly acknowledged Pangu’s work by crediting it with discovering the various vulnerabilities it fixes in new versions of iOS. Could there be a higher jailbreaking honor?
