We’ve heard enough at this point to be pretty sure that a 4-inch iPhone 6c is coming, but how will it stack up against the last 4-inch iPhone, the iPhone 5s? Pretty well, according to a new report: You can expect better battery life, better performance and better security!

Chinese site MyDrivers cites anonymous Foxconn employees, who say the
iPhone 6c will have a 1,642-mAh battery, which is a little larger than the iPhone 5s’ 1,570-mAh battery. It will also have 2GB of RAM, an A9 processor, 16GB of base storage (which is criminally low in this day and age) and Touch ID, according to the site.

MyDrivers is a sometimes-reliable source for Apple rumors. Las week, the site predicted that the iPhone 6c would come out in April.

What do you think? Is there still room for a 4-inch iPhone in the lineup? Will you buy one? Let us know in the comments.

Touch ID doesn’t seem like a feature that would be feasible from a cost standpoint, but I’m sure Apple has achieved greater economies of scale since the last generation and will be able to implement the technology without effecting price and/or margins. My question is with the “c” iterations being plastic, the steel ring around the sapphire crystal will appear to be out of place and make the other components look even cheaper.

A new 4-inch iPhone? Sign me up. In fact, if there isn’t one when my contract expires, my money will go elsewhere.

I may buy one. Depends on how the screen looks. I’ve realized I don’t use 2/3 of the apps and Most of the music and Pictures on my current iPhone 6…

I’d buy a 4″ iPhone, but not a low spec one – which sadly most of the rumours point towards. Surely there is room for a 6S in 4″ guise?

the might be a very smart move from apple. iPhone sales historically slow down in March and June quarters in anticipation for the new one coming out in fall. March, April is samsung flagship release time. Many people will buy this 4 inch phone and others might walk out with the bigger phone when they get to the apple store.

Will buy if the price is right! :-)

Or, a used 6 + to get better battery life than a bunch of the iPhones and iPod Touches out there!

Sure, if it’s not a low-spec version. What about 3d touch?

I’m curious to know how an iPhone 6c with Touch ID will be more secure than an iPhone 5s with Touch ID. Anyone?

A four inch phone is a waste of Apple’s time, resources, and hurts its image. No one wants or needs a four inch phone. The standard size of any phone should be 5.5 inches or higher. Choice is not good for the consumer. Apple knows best for us.

The four inch is easier to handle and is fine for watching movies. It’s the perfect size phone. I will definitely buy the next four inch iPhone. I’m happy that the 6c will have an A9 processor, 3D touch and be all metal. Can’t wait until April!
