In a scary situation which took place on Wednesday, employees at a Californian Apple Store had to be evacuated and rushed to hospital when they became dizzy and nauseous after handling a package which was delivered to the store.

And, no, it wasn’t a Samsung handset!

Emergency crews were called after someone dialled 911 — leading to four people being transported to the hospital, while a further eight were evacuated by the Monterey County regional hazardous materials team.

The Apple Store in question is located in the Del Monte Shopping Center.

Fortunately, it seems that the package most likely wasn’t any kind of chemical weapon, but had rather been contaminated during transit when an unknown substance leaked onto its packaging. The case is continuing to be investigated, however.
