LOL! I guess when you’re site and livelihood are tied to Apple you’ll do whatever it takes to defend them. A media phenomenon? More like a product that wasn’t fully tested. If this was to be expected like you all say, why aren’t the Galaxy Notes bending in mass?

  2. Josh says:

Airfon was right! You can buy an iPhone full price without activating it. It’s still locked but it’s sold “device only”

“This Guy!” That guy just happens to be casey neistat. he created the video bashing the ipod battery that blew up and forced apple created the first ipod battery replacement program back in the early 2000’s. His work is on HBO, is yours?

Next time order online and choose pick up in store

  5. Gilbert Galdo says:

The asians were buying the “T-mobile no-contract” phones at full price to sell there. The reason why is that those particular models are unlocked if you buy from the Apple Store. I pre-ordered online and purchased “T-Mobile 128Gb Silver iPhone” full price, took out the T-mobile sim card and had AT&T card put in and activated no problem. I noticed several (hundreds) at the 3rd Street Promenade Store this Saturday and they were not being activated. Back of the store brought the phones to the front, they paid cash, got the receipt and they were out.

People can buy carrier locked phones at the Apple Store without a contract. It’s just a device only phone with no commitment. No new lines or upgrades have to be used
