The latest iMac refresh is now just three or four months away, according to a “reliable tipster,” and they’ll introduce Intel’s next-generation Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors to Apple’s all-in-one desktop line.

How To Arena cites a “reliable tipster” from Apple’s Chinese supply chain who claims the next-generation of iMacs will arrive in June or July, bringing with them Intel’s 22-nanometer Ivy Bridge processors. And they’ll be following a new 15-inch MacBook Pro which will feature the same chip:

Apple is planning to refresh iMacs with Intel’s 22nm-based Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors in June-July time frame. A reliable tipster in Chinese supply chain told us that the company is currently ramping up production of thinner 15 inch version of MacBook Pros with same processors which are reportedly coming later this month. According to our source, Ivy Bridge equipped iMacs would be released in June-July time frame this year.

According to a recent report, the new iMacs will be the first Apple desktops to offer anti-reflective glass displays from G-Tech, a feature previously only available to its built-to-order notebooks. They’re also expected to be thinner and lighter than their predecessors, suggesting a complete redesign. The existing look has remained unchanged since late 2010.
