It’s hardly a surprise that Steve Jobs made the cover of Newsweek the week after he announced his retirement as Apple’s CEO. What is surprising, though, is what a fitting tribute to Steve’s legacy it is. “American Genius” indeed. What a fantastic cover.

“The Da Vinci of Our Time”
Steve should be on the cover of a business magazine for the greatest change in the world for only 10 years of work. Greatest turnaround in history…

what is steve holding in his hand in this picture? doesn’t look like an iPhone? looks like either a phone w/ a flip keyboard or an old school phone w/ an antenna
it’s the big remote he used in his Keynotes.
what he wanted to say the paper claims that Jobs is a genius because he is american (what else should ‘American Genius’ mean), but that is obviously not quite right…whatever, you can’t make a connection between the heritage and the skills of a person.
He’s just pointing out a fact, not saying it’s bad or anything. Don’t be a dick.
Too bad no one reads that rag.
WORST cover ever. WTF is that thing in his hand? Newsweek is trash.
