Black is the way to go, it’ll match my iPhone and the bezel on my macbook. Whites ugly, and doesn’t make the screen POP as much.
from the pictures and videos i’ve seen, the white one looks a bit cheap and kiddish. Black for adults. White for the kids.
Bingo. I even think the elusive white iPhone looks like crap.
With the launch of the white ipad, Apple has apparently fixed the light leak camera issue. So, the white iphone should be coming out soon.
arrrggg… I can’t decide. I wanted the white iPhone but LOVE the black.. its classy looking. White is somewhat plastic looking… but it is different and I like different.
I’m nervous they will delay it though so first one I order will be black, subsequent purchases may be a mix.
Having replaced my iPhone 4’s front and rear plates with white ones, I have to say im less of a fan than i used to be of the white. It doesnt look as refined at the glossy black. In fact i just ordered new black plates to convert my phone back. That said… I have to suffer a week and a half before I get to order… I am sure i’ll go back and forth a few times… Before settling on black… Maybe white…
Anyone else not see the Disqus log in buttons while using Safari on iPad? The log in as facebook etc, not the stock Disqus one below…
I agree, they look a bit childish and remind me of the old EMacs too much
There is neither a Flash for the camera, nor an ambient light sensor, both of which the iPhone 4 has. The white bezel is a non-issue for the iPad 2.
im lost, i dont know which one to get really, but i saw my friends white iphone 4, boy, it was sexay… i think i might just get the black one, and have a white leather smart cover over it since the backplate looked exactly the same
Girls can have the white one with a pink cover, and black with leather cover for the lads. Lol at the “Can’t make up my mind. I’m getting both “
To me. The white one looks a bit ugly… I never liked the look of the white iPhone 4 either.
Hard decision to make on the color…
“For sustained usage however, it has a lot of drawbacks. First of all, it will you give the impression that the screen is dimmer, and has less contrast. The content won’t stand out as much. Think about it, as Gruber said on the Talk Show, there is a reason why TVs come generally in Black, and letterbox content with black frames. White will make your movies and games look worse. Then, a white Frame will also reflect more light when you’re outside, it will be more visibly dirty and worse of all, white Apple products have a long history of problems, from cracking, to light leaks and so on.” appadvice.com
With white, you should be able to balance screen brightness to the reflected light level of the surrounding frame. Instant no-eye-fatigue.
I agree 100% with with this comment.
Getting the black one because the black one aesthetically can be used like a photo frame. I have some pictures I’d like to put up in a “digital frame” for a while in honour of my mother who died several months ago. I think the black frame of the iPad 2 is aesthetically more appealing for that purpose than the white one.

There is an ambient light sensor, you can see it on the white ipad next to the front camera.
Black ones can be for kids too!!! I’m 12 and I got a black iPad 2. But you are right when you say that the white one looks cheap.
But u r a kid???? Right you said u were 12.
I still can’t decide black or white :(
alot of kids have iPads these days; for example, i ordered my 32GB wifi white iPad 2 and its supposed to come either June 24 or June 27 which is supposed to be my 13th bday (on the 26th, but thats a sunday) :D
also, 2 of my friends have a black and white iPad 2,
I compared, contrasted, and decided that Im going with white because it makes me different and it pops out.
cant wait!!! ^.^
Have a closer look. The black is dull (oh…we are so used to frames), white is crispy and easy on your eyes.
I would go for white.
Just ordered my Black color iPad 2 after the Poll :P
Robin.
Black color is definately better..
I love the black one, so classy…
ipad 3
ok if black is better then i’ll get it.
Black is better
the WHITE one is better… it luks much better than black one…. u can notice on any review on youtube that white ipad luks sleeler and thinner than the black one ….there is no issue of screen brightness, cuz ipad2 has a LED screen .. so there is no issue of cntrast or brightness between them…. and even white ipad luks beautiful than black one when they were locked or on sleep mode….the dust particles were also more highlighted on black ipad than the white……. so i think white is better than black…..
