Underwhelmed with Apple’s new smartcover for the iPad, the folks over at Tuff Luv in the U.K. decided they would show Steve Jobs how it’s done.
So they sent him the above case in hemp.
“Knowing Apple’s CEO is a keen vegan we sent him a Chocolate Multi-View case for his Pad 2 in hemp. We packaged this beautiful case off California, but so far we haven’t heard back from Steve yet. We’re sure he’s using it at home.”
The case is made from 100% natural materials, guaranteed “animal free.”
Suitable for the iPad and iPad 2, it’s billed as soft and tactile but hard-wearing and tough, capable of protecting the tablet from life’s little accidents. It costs £34.99, about US$56.

Yes but think of all the poor insects and worms that were killed on that hemp farm! The horror!
I think it looks pretty cool though. If I used cases, this might be the one I’d use.
Actually, sorry to double-post but Steve Jobs is not a vegan. He eats seafood.

On the plus side, it’s the only case that has moths fly out every time you open the cover.

Steve is a known pescatarian so clearly the case manufacturer should’ve done a bit more research..
Steve Jobs probably doesn’t even use an iPad. iPads are for people to sit around and read or game during leisure time, I doubt Steve sits around reading for leisure.

It’s very likely sitting in an off-campus warehouse in a pile with all of the crayon drawings, love letters, slash-fiction and other obsessive detritus that Cult of Mac-reader types send him daily. Most likely it’s headed to the trash compactor after bomb-sniffing dogs have had a once over.
Bet he binned it. That thing is butt-ugly.

Well we may have been miss-informed on that one, there does seem to be a lot of rumour about that in the webisphere! we will amended the blog! – but our hemp case is a case for all tastes -!

Hey Everyone, thanks for all your comments. It seems there is some debate over the case, but love or hate it, it’s still a popular product for us. As to the cases whereabouts, well we don’t know! Maybe he has it, we’d offer a sizable reward for a genuine picture of Steve with it. But it’s probably been diverted to some member of staff’s house, but we’re sure they’re loving it.
