Apple unveiled a slate of new Immersive Videos for Vision Pro in the form of series and films Thursday. So users of the AR/VR headset are in for some new audio-visual treats. And some are available now.

“Apple Immersive Video is a groundbreaking leap forward for storytelling, offering Apple Vision Pro users remarkable experiences with an unparalleled sense of realism and immersion,” said Tor Myhren, Apple’s vice president of Marketing Communications.

New Immersive Videos for Vision Pro include series, films, concerts and more

Immersive Video combines 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio to create an unprecedented viewing experience, Apple noted. Anyone who owns Vision Pro — or anyone who enjoyed a (highly recommended) demo of the AR/VR headset — knows how mind-blowing the experience can be.

The lineup kicks off with Boundless, a travel series with an episode featuring hot air ballooning in Cappadocia, Türkiye (see image above). Nature enthusiasts can look forward to new episodes of Wild Life in August. Elevated, an aerial travel series, is slated for September.

New content spans many genres

The content lineup spans various genres, from nature documentaries to sports events. Wild Life will take viewers to Kenya’s Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Elevated promises aerial tours of Hawaii and New England.

Later this year, Apple will introduce special performances from top artists, starting with The Weeknd. Additionally, viewers can expect Submerged, a scripted short film directed by Academy Award winner Edward Berger. There will also be a behind-the-scenes look at the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend. And Big-Wave Surfing is part of a new sports series in partnership with Red Bull.
