According to Macworld.com.au’s sources, several thousand items of new Apple stock with the product number MC516LL/A K87 BETTER BTR-USA are now on their way to Australia… and while they aren’t quite sure what it is, they’re positing it might be an updated MacBook Air.
That would make some sense: the MacBook Air hasn’t been updated since June 2009, and was ignored in last month’s MacBook hardware refresh. If Apple intends on continuing the MacBook Air line, it’s about due for an update… possibly one that ditches the physical trackpad button, bringing it in line with the rest of the MacBooks as far as design.
Then again, Macworld.com.au supposes it also could be a new 27-inch external display. Whatever the case, we’ll be on the lookout for updates to Apple’s online store tomorrow.
