Facebook Messenger wants to make chatting with your closest friends even faster with a redesigned Home tab. Within it, you’ll find recent conversations, favorite contacts, friends who have birthdays coming up, and more.
Over 900 million people are now using Messenger every month, which makes it ideal for connecting with friends and businesses, Facebook says. And it has everything you could want from a messaging app, including voice and video chat, emoji and stickers, and more.
Now Messenger is becoming even more convenient. In its redesigned Home section, you’ll find not only your recent conversations, but also new ways to connect with your favorite contacts. There are also helpful birthday reminders, so you never forget that special day.
“We hope to show you other things happening on Messenger that you might be interested in, too,” Facebook explains. “For example, with the Active Now section, you can see that a good friend or colleague is available in the moment. Maybe that will prompt you to say hi!”
These changes are rolling out to Messenger now, but it might take some time for them to reach all users. Don’t worry if you don’t see them right away, then — just check back later!
