Clay Shirky Documents Harrowing Crash with iPad 2

By

Picture 2

When best-selling tech author Clay Shirky tweets “lucky to be alive. Always wear your seat belt!” he gets our attention.

The pic above shows an accident between a bus and a car taken in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

No word on whether there were any injuries involved, we’ll keep you posted.

Update: fortunately, there were no injuries, Shirky says.

Shirky snapped it with the iPad 2, which, as you may remember I figured would never have a rear-facing camera and that if it did no one would use it for pics on the fly.

Ahem. As I prep for another appetizing lunch of crow, I wonder whether the iPad will be increasingly used for breaking news situations — even though recently here at Cult of Mac we noticed that not many people were using it?

I’ll bet “iPad2” and “harrowing crash” gets lots of hits, but come on!  Just a little misleading?
