JailbreakMe, undoubtedly the easiest method of jailbreaking an iOS device, is set to return imminently with version 3.0 — the all-purpose jailbreak for any device, including the iPad 2, running iOS 4.3.3 and below. Comex has updated the site for the second time in the past week, leading some to speculate the relaunch of the new service will be today.
Visitors to JailbreakMe.com are now greeted by a new message written on a yellow sticky note that reads, “We’ll be back soon!” — identical to the message Apple posts to its online store when it goes down for maintenance. But when is soon?
Well, iPhone Download Blog has received a tip that JailbreakMe 3.0 will launch today:
Update 2: And a little midget tells us JailbrealMe will be released tomorrow, on July 5th.
JailbreakMe was the first and only method of jailbreaking your iOS device that doesn’t require a computer. Instead, users simply navigate to the JailbreakMe website in mobile Safari and launch the exploit from there. Version 3.0 will be the first method of jailbreaking the iPad 2, but does not work with Apple’s upcoming iOS 5 software.
The latest jailbreak was released prematurely last week when a beta tester leaked a link to the exploit. Soon after it went public, however, the site was taken down.

Well folks, we only have a few more months of these “easy” jailbreaks so enjoy them while you can. iOS 5 is looking pretty tough to exploit these kinds of exploits, but have faith, someone will find a trick for you.
