If you turn on a television, you can’t miss ads for the iPhone or iPad. The same is true for Europe, where advertisements for the Apple devices are plastered everywhere. Now comes word the iPhone and iPad are two of the most-advertised mobile devices in Europe.
The iPad is the sixth-largest advertised device in Europe, with 2.2 percent of all ad impressions, according to mobile ad expert InMobi. Additionally, the iPhone took No. 1 with 13.8 percent.
“Apple got a strong boost in May relative to February as their share of ad requests increased by +6.3 share points helped by the strength of the iPad,” the company announced.
Although Google’s Android still leads by a wide margin, Apple’s iAds could catch-up. In June research firm Gartner projected such mobile advertising would jump from $1.6 billion in 2010 to $20.6 billion by 2015. Mobile ads in North America will increase to $5.7 billion in the next four years, leading Western Europe by a slight margin at $5.1 billion. Still, the Asian-Pacific region will remain the overall mobile advertising champs, expecting to register 49.2 percent of all mobile ads.

This is weird because in Canada, they aren’t advertised hardy at all. Â Just the usual Apple generated TV commercials (but not in very large numbers) and that’s it. Â
All the carriers advertise here is Android, Android, Android. Â If you get a flyer around the door from a carrier, it’s five pages of Android ads. Â They *might* mention iPhone on the last page, but usually not.Â
Except Poland…
Wow! RIM’s BlackBerry isn’t even popular in Canada, it’s own home turf. That doesn’t sound good at all.
HTC and BB are much more advertised in Holland than iPhone.. i would say iPhone is not advertised at allÂ
CofM’s writers must have a 500 word limit, whether there’s redeeming value in the so-called news or not.
This one bounces from television ads to iAds and mobile ads without a blink or a transition phrase.
