Apple includes a handy webpage for managing everything you could ever think of with your Apple ID. Unfortunately it’s tucked out of the way and kind of hard to find. In this video I’ll show you how to manage and reset your Apple ID through this website, as well as a couple handy tricks and tips that you can do with your Apple ID.
You can get to the Apple ID page here.

Good tip. Thanks for the post.
when I try to validate my primary email it returns a message saying that that email is in use with another account. Any way to find out which one? Or delete an old account for that matter?
Go to appleid.apple.com. Click on”find out” if you have an account. Fill out the form with as much information as possible and every email address you can remember having.
Now Apple just needs to give me the ability to combine my old Apple ID with my new iCloud Apple ID.

If you have an old MobileMe email it AUTOMATICALLY created it as a separate Apple ID. So if you try to use it as an email address with what you had as your old Apple ID (for iTunes) then it will give you this error (since your MobileMe already exists as a separate Apple ID).
is there a way to merge various accounts into a single one? or a way to just delete an old account to use it’s email address as secondary to my current account?
can i add my [email protected] email as alternate email for my apple ID? I know that Apple doesn’t allow us to use [email protected] as Apple ID.
Yes, you can add it as an alternate email.
