How To Use iOS 5’s Assistive Touch Features [Video How-To]

iOS 5 beta 3 brings some new and interesting features, including the new Assistive Touch menu. This menu allows you to perform many commonly used gestures as well as simulate hardware buttons. In this video, I’ll show you how to activate and use this menu in iOS 5.

    I think with all the e-mails Steve has personally received from parents thanking him for creating a device that can serve as such a powerful learning tool, he’s been inspired to pay more attention to that group of people. This is a small feature, but it is going to help so many people that may have struggled with using some of the devices features as before. Also as said in the video, it’s a great tool to have if you have a physical button go out.

    I can see this pretty useful down the road. Yay Apple.
    I’d like to see a long press command feature from Android. You get nifty menu features core related to what you want. Add this Apple.

    Noticed you were having trouble activating the two finger gesture your made…all you have to do is press one of the blue cycles and it will replicate the gesture you made in settings, you don’t have to drag it or anything…
