No matter how high tech our cars get, they still depend on the low tech reality of keys in your pocket. If you forget your keys, there’s no app for avoiding the hike back to get them. But here’s a great new tool that can avoid that headache altogether.

KeySmart’s been making super useful key organizers for a long time. By joining up with Tile, they’ve made something even more handy. The result is the new KeySmart Pro, a compact keeper for your keys that’s also locatable via WiFi and other means. And right now you can get a KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location for just $59.99 at cult of Mac Deals.

This key holder keeps up to 10 keys in a slender, tough sleeve. Beyond simplifying the jangling mess of a typical keyring, it adds the ability to find your keys on a map. Additionally, you can literally call your keys, they’ll make a ringtone so you can find where they’re hiding. It also works in reverse, using your keychain to ring your phone. That’s already super useful, but there’s more. Also included are a powerful LED light, bottle opener, and a loop piece to attach a car key fob. The whole thing recharges via a standard micro USB cable.

Buy now: Pick up a KeySmart Pro with Tile Smart Location for $59.99.

A lot of cars can do that now right from a mobile app, you still need the key to drive, so that may be different than Tesla, but I know I can start my chevy from my phone.

I have the new KeySmart Pro. Here are some things not in the article. First the KeySmart is the length of the KeySmart Extended. This means my work keys and pushbar key fit with no issues. Second If you bought expanders to use more keys on your KeySmart they will work with this. If you double tap the flashlight button or hold it down the light will stay on for 10-20 seconds. I love the product.
