Not much else to say: right on the heels of our story that Google Books had been kicked off the App Store for failing to comply with Apple’s new in-app purchasing rules, Amazon has removed a link to its outside e-store, now fully complying with Apple’s rules.
Here’s the rest of the update notes:
• This update removes the Kindle Store button from the app.
• Read over 100 newspapers and magazines including The Economist and Reader’s Digest with high resolution color images. Visit the Kindle Store to subscribe to a newspaper or magazine and have each edition automatically delivered, or purchase individual issues.
• Customers who receive newspapers and magazines on Kindle can download recent editions to their iOS devices from Archived Items. Many newspapers and magazines are supported, and more are on the way.
• Share quotes and passages with your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter while reading.
If you like being able to easily buy Kindle books from Amazon in-app, you may want to avoid this update.

This comes as no shock if you consider the number of iOS devices that use Kindle vs the number of actual Kindles. They wanna stay, they gotta play…

Interesting, they were allowed to tell users how to buy books in their update notes. We (Kobo) were rejected for doing that…

I got $31.68 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Dell laptop for $95.84 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $53.79 to get. Here is the website we are using to get all this stuff GrabPenny.com
The nook and kobo apps were updated to comply too.
