Getting rid of the home button could be one of the greatest things Apple could do for the iPhone 8.
Rumors have been swirling for months that Apple plans to embed Touch ID into the screen in order to ditch the home button. A fantastic new concept imagines how Apple could use that extra screen real estate to make navigating the iOS faster than ever.

Instead of making users tap around to unlock a menu of icons, the new concept from iDropNews acts kind of like a mini-Touch Bar from the new MacBook Pro. Icons would be displayed dynamically based on what app your in and functions you’re performing.
Moving app-contextual control buttons to the bottom of the phone would also give developers more screen space for other functions.
Of course, all of this depends on if Apple can successfully embed Touch ID into the OLED display. Recent rumors have claimed Touch ID is one of the production bottlenecks plaguing the iPhone 8. Some alleged leaked schematics suggested Apple was exploring the idea of moving the Touch ID Sensor to the back of the device.
Other features on the iPhone 8 could include a curved OLED display, 3D cameras on the front and back, wireless charging, an all-glass case design, augmented reality features and an AI-powered Siri.

Wow, they take Samsung’s Edge and place it under the display, making the display longer for no good reason. Industry remains ‘meh’.
Potential is definitely great, just don’t think they captured it here.
Only you´ll drop the phone everytime you try to use buttons that far south.
