The sprawling North American Leagues Cup 2024 soccer tournament kicks off July 26 exclusively on MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app, the iPhone giant said Thursday.

The second annual Leagues Cup is a monthlong tournament featuring all 47 clubs from Major League Soccer and Mexico’s Liga MX. So participating clubs come from the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The Leagues Cup soccer tournament runs for a month. At the end, the top three teams receive automatic bids to the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. Leagues Cup includes 77 matches in stadiums across the U.S. and Canada, and fans in more than 100 countries and regions can enjoy all the action with an MLS Season Pass subscription, Apple noted.

Players from both leagues expressed excitement about the competition, emphasizing its importance for winning titles and fostering international rivalry.

“I’m really looking forward to the kickoff of Leagues Cup,” said Columbus Crew’s Cucho Hernández, an MLS player. “It’s always going to be exciting winning titles with this club — we are in a very positive dynamic as a group, want to achieve things, and will give it our all in every game. It will also be exciting for fans who can enjoy watching teams from farther away that they may not have been able to see live.”

“For me, it’s all about competition — that’s nonnegotiable,” said Tigres UANL’s André-Pierre Gignac of Liga MX. “It’s been great to see the growth of Leagues Cup, and I’m excited to compete.”
