Is there a doctor in the house? There is with today’s M3 MacBook Air setup. The good doctor finds the slender laptop covers all needs, especially with an assist from an 11-inch iPad Pro, an external monitor and an unusual choice for a desktop speaker.

M3 MacBook Air and 11-inch iPad Pro cover doctor’s needs in cozy setup

Redditor KozukiYamatoTakeru (“Takeru”) showcased the comforting setup in a post entitled, “A warm and cozy setup after working all day in a hospital.”

“I specifically made sure that the theme of my setup would be warm since we all know a hospital is usually filled with bright white lights,” Takeru wrote, pointing out the workstation’s black-and-wood-themed colors and patterns. “Physicians usually read a lot of research papers and books after work so that’s basically the use of this whole thing.”

And the setup’s M3 MacBook Air, sitting on a vertical stand and driving a 4K external display, features just what the doctor ordered. In fact, it sounds like it packs far more power than Takeru actually needs.

“Computer is the 15-inch MacBook Air M3, since all I do is read PDFs and the most taxing program would have to be MS Powerpoint,” they pointed out.

And when not working on the laptop, which features a powerful M3 chip with 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU plus high-quality speakers and webcam, they also use an 11-inch iPad Pro. “I usually don’t do dual screens and it’s just there when not in use or charging,” Takeru said.

Takeru pointed out some other aspects of the M3 MacBook Air setup:

  • Still rocking the apple watch series 6 with the same wallpaper theme of the iPad and Mac. I’ll probably replace it with the Ultra in a couple of months.
  • Cable management could still be improved but that’s all I can do for now. I have a cable rack at the below the desk.
  • Keyboard: Keychron K3. I think it’s more ergonomic compared to full sized keyboards where I would have to use a wrist rest.
  • Speaker is the Edifier MP230. Not the best but I love the “retro” look of it and gets the job done.
  • Monitor bar lamp: It’s the Xiaomi one that youtubers usually suggest with the wireless puck where you can adjust the light intensity and warmth.
  • Headphones: Sony WH-1000XM5. Amazing noise canceling and sound. Best headphones I had.
  • Wallpaper and mouse pad: Unfortunately I can’t find the original link. It was a guy who posted it here on reddit as well as the Apple Watch watchface. The wallpaper and mouse pad pattern is called “topography,” so you can search for something similar.
