At Cult of Mac, we love great audio. So when a computer setup comes along on social media showing off a killer system, we love to feature it. Today’s M3 Pro MacBook Pro setup kicks out the jams — we also love obscure references to cult-favorite bands of yesteryear — with Audioengine A2 Plus speakers and a Kanto Sub6 subwoofer.

So, as nice as the MacBook Pro’s six speakers may be, they don’t have a chance against that sound system.

Audioengine speakers and Kanto subwoofer pump up MacBook Pro setup’s sound

Redditor rrogersca (“Rogers”) showcased the beautiful and sonorous setup in a post entitled, “New M3 MacBook Pro 16.”

Not long ago, Rogers added a new 16-inch M3 Pro MacBook Pro loaded with 36GB unified memory and a 1TB SSD for storage. And the powerful laptop connects to a wonderful array of peripherals through a Razer Thunderbolt 4 docking station. For example, the rig drives a 34-inch BenQ PD3420Q Ultrawide Monitor with a BenQ Screenbar Monitor Light on top. And its sound system kicks ass, too.

On Monday we covered the laptop and dock. Then on Wednesday we checked out the cool Keychron Q2 mechanical keyboard. On Friday we looked at the BenQ monitor and Oakwyood dual-monitor stand. And now, on Monday, it’s time for killer audio, our favorite. Rogers rocks Audioengine A2 Plus desktop speakers and a Kanto Sub6 subwoofer, a powerful combo suitable to a large living room, not just a workstation.
