In what appears to be the first big discount on Apple’s $549 over-ear, noise-canceling headphones in 2024, you can currently get up to $100 off AirPods Max at Amazon and Best Buy ($449.99).
The last time folks had a shot at a deal like this was Black Friday 2023. It’s not clear how long the deals might last. And other AirPods models are also on sale.

Get up to $100 off AirPods Max
Rumors suggest Apple might update AirPods Max in 2024, so it may not seem like a great time to buy the originals, released in December 2020. However, rumors also believe changes will be minimal — perhaps not much more than a USB-C port instead of Lightning and some new color choices.
So you might get up to $100 off AirPods Max while you can.
Amazon and Best Buy appear to be going head-to-head on their AirPods Max sales, with slight differences on which colors get the lowest price.
At Amazon, you can nab the $99-off deal on the cans in green, pink or silver colors, with sky blue at $529 and space gray at $525.
At Best Buy, you can any of the five colors for what it says is $100 off, at $449.99. The $1 difference in the two sites’ top deals arises because they express the normal list price differently (Amazon says $549.00 while Best Buy says $549.99).
