Apple replaced leather in its accessories with a twill fabric it calls FineWoven, but for those who still want classic leather, Nomad just rolled out new leather folios for iPad.

They’re similar to Apple’s Smart Folio cases, but with animal skin.

Nomad Leather Folio and Leather Folio Plus for iPad and iPad Pro

While Apple turns away from leather to FineWoven, Nomad unveils new Leather Folio and Leather Folio Plus for iPad and iPad Pro. They feature sleek designs with built-in magnets — more than 100 of them — to snap securely over your tablet.

When you open the case, iPad wakes up. When you close it, the tablet sleeps. Both cases fold into multiple kickstand positions for hands-free use of your tablet.

Both versions include a soft microfiber lining to safeguard iPad’s screen. They come in 11-inch and 12.9-inch version to cover the iPad, iPad Air and iPad Pro lineup (10.9-inch iPad Air fits in the 11-inch version).

The fancier version, Leather Folio Plus, provides a magnetic flap that further secures iPad and provides a spot for Apple Pencil when it’s not in use.

If you’re on the fence about using leather, Nomad notes that its material is sustainably sourced.

Leather Folio costs $120 (11-inch model) or $140 (12.9-inch model). Leather Folio Plus goes for $130 (11-inch) or $150 (12.9-inch). Choose from black or brown full-grain leather.
