Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premieres in November, and Apple TV+ released the full trailer for the series set in the MonsterVerse that contains Godzilla and other classic kaiju.
It’s a must-see for anyone who enjoyed the series of hit movies also set in the same universe.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters includes big stars: Godzilla, Kurt Russell and John Goodman
There have been four films set in the MonsterVerse. The city-stomping action beganin 2014 with Godzilla and continued in 2017 with Kong: Skull Island. These were followed by 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters and 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong.
Now the MonsterVerse is getting a 10-episode series on Apple TV+. And the new trailer shows it won’t be short on the kaiju that audiences are looking for.
The official description says:
“Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga — spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.”
But don’t read about the series, watch the just-released full trailer:
The legendary Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell play the same character at different points in his life. John Goodman (another screen legend) reprises his role from Kong: Skull Island. Also starring are Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski.
Apple’s biggest star stomps onto TV+ in November
