Apple took down its online store this morning ahead of the “Wonderlust” event scheduled for later today. The company should announce the iPhone 15 series, new Apple Watch models, and more at the event.

Over the last decade, the company typically has taken down its online store ahead of major product launches.

iPhone finally adopts USB-C this year

Apple’s online store undoubtedly will return right after the Wonderlust event scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific today. The new iPhones should go up for pre-order this Friday, with their listings going live after the event.

The highlight of Apple’s Wonderlust event will undoubtedly be the iPhone 15 Pro series. It reportedly will pack significant changes, like a titanium chassis, bigger batteries and USB-C instead of Lightning. Other usual yearly upgrades like a faster A-series chip, better cameras and longer battery life should also be a part of the package. These improvements could come with a higher price tag, though.

The regular iPhone 15 lineup also will get major upgrades. This will include ditching the notch in favor of the Dynamic Island, a 48MP primary camera and more.

Alongside the new iPhones, Apple should announce the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. Both are rumored to ship with a faster S9 chip, an updated optical sensor with better accuracy, brighter displays and a new Ultra Wideband chip.
