The 15-inch MacBook Air only just launched in June, and shoppers can already pick up a refurbished unit from Apple itself. Buying refurbs from Apple is a popular way to save on used computers that can be relied on.

The newest macOS notebook is lightweight, boasts a long battery life and comes with a speedy M2 processor. Even better, a refurb is about 15% off the regular cost.

The best 15-inch MacBook Air refurb around can be yours

Going all the way back to 2008 and the launch of the very first MacBook Air, this notebook line has never had a screen larger than 13.6 inches. But Apple busted through that limit with the first 15.3-inch model this summer.

It was already a good deal for the base version with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD at $1,299, but a refurb unit is $200 less. And it’s available in a range of colors: midnight, space gray, silver and starlight.

Or the version with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD is ordinarily $1,499, but going refurbished drops the cost down to $1,269.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is available is a variety of other RAM and storage configurations, all with discounts. Shop Apple’s page for refurbished devices to take advantage of these deals.

Relax, it’s not a lemon

When someone buys a product from Apple then returns it, it is resold after going through a refurbishment process. Apple prepares these so you’re not taking any risk. It’s cleaned and undergoes full functional testing, then gets repackaged with appropriate manuals and cables.

Each unit comes with a one-year warranty, free delivery and a 14-day return window.

The major drawback is that the supply of units limits the purchase options. Every configuration and color combination of 2023’s 15-inch MacBook Air isn’t available because not enough people bought then returned every possibility.
