Kingdoms: Merge & Build is a merge-2 game that’s also a story-rich adventure. Players rebuild a ruined kingdom by solving puzzles.

The game is now on Apple Arcade, and is available for iPhone, Mac and more.

Kingdoms: Merge & Build is all in the name

Merge-2 games are a very popular genre now. Players are given a board filled with items and “recipes” to merge these into new items.

In Kingdoms: Merge & Build, the name just about says it all. The items that are produced with all the merging are used to rebuild a kingdom.

And the kingdom needs it. “During the king’s absence, a mysterious magical power destroyed the kingdom. Now it’s up to Prince Edward, Desmond, Megan, and other friends to rebuild the land and restore it to its former glory,” says the official description from Cherrypick Games.

There are quests to fulfill to progress through the chapters of the game, unlocking new buildings, kingdom improvements, characters and landmarks.

“I am very excited about the release. After tons of hard work, our biggest game yet is finally launched,” said Martin Kwasnica, CEO of Cherrypick Games. “I want to thank the whole team for their passion in creating this game. This is our opportunity to continue showing the world how much we care about the high quality of our titles.”

Now on Apple Arcade

Kingdoms: Merge & Build launched on the Apple Arcade section of the App Store on Friday. The merge-2 game ready to download and play on iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple TV. External game controllers are an option for any of the supported platforms.

Playing comes with a $4.99-per-month subscription to Apple’s gaming service, which also brings access to 200+ games already in the service. New titles are added almost every week, with four additions in August. And July brought Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Parents can relax knowing that none of these have surprise costs.
