ESR unveiled two new MagSafe chargers Thursday. Its new 25-watt 3-in-1 Wireless Charger and 15-watt Car Charger follow last month’s launch of the 100W 6-in-1 Charging Station on Kickstarter.

All three feature “MagSafe + CryoBoost,” which we’ll get into below.

ESR said its use of CryoBoost and MagSafe for the new chargers combines the company’s phone-cooling technology with Apple-certified, fast 15W MagSafe charging.

It’s a significant leap from the 7.5W MagSafe-compatible chargers with CryoBoost ESR rolled out in 2022.

Packing Apple’s “Made for MagSafe” certification, ESR’s new chargers get full-speed 15W fast charging for iPhone. That’s twice the 7.5W speed limit that merely “MagSafe-compatible”chargers face.

The certification also means all 3 chargers have been tested by Apple for safety and reliability, and will receive future software updates.

CryoBoost cooling

Adding more power increases heat in iPhone, as do CPU-intensive apps. So it’s important to cool the handset down.

The new chargers use CryoBoost to keep phone temperatures cool while charging, which helps keep speeds up, ESR said.

TÜV Rheinland test results show that the 15W Car Charger, which mounts with an air-vent clamp and can sit at various angles,  powers up an iPhone 14 Pro using navigation apps to 100% in just 2 hours 5 minutes. ESR said that’s nearly four times faster than a leading third-party 15W MagSafe car charger.

It added that the 25W 3-in-1 charger for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods charges an iPhone 14 Pro playing video to 100% in 3 hours 2 minutes. ESR compared that to an Apple-certifed alternative that took 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge to 80%.

The previously released 100W 6-in-1 Charging Station features Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology for magnetic wireless charging for iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods, plus 2 USB-C ports and a USB-A port for MacBook, iPad, and other devices.

And the chargers qualify as Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly products.

Pricing and availability

The 25W 3-in-1 Wireless Charger ($119.99) and the 15W Car Charger ($105.99) are available at Amazon. The 100W 6-in-1 Charging Station is available for preorder on Kickstarter for as low as $154.
