BenQ ideaCam S1 Pro webcam

The new BenQ ideaCam S1 Pro opens up creative possibilities with four shooting modes: Portrait, Desk View, Handheld and Macro. You can switch between modes to capture objects, documents and even close-up shots, BenQ said:

While the Portrait mode provides a familiar webcam experience, Desk View enables effortless display of objects or documents on the desktop. The intelligent auto-flip feature seamlessly transitions between Portrait and Desk View modes, automatically rotating and focusing the image. Handheld mode offers unique camera angles and immersive close-ups, while the magnetic Macro lens provides detailed magnification of 15 times.

An 8-megapixel Sony sensor helps ideaCam deliver near-4K imagery with an optimized resolution of 3264×2488 pixels, within a 4:3 aspect ratio. BenQ, known for its displays, said the camera’s visuals are “nearly four times as clear as traditional 1080P, infusing life into every frame with its clarity and vibrancy.”

The webcam also offers balanced lighting with its built-in ring light. And the 15x macro lens effortlessly unveils details.

ideaCam also integrates a noise-canceling microphone.

BenQ EnSpire software

BenQ’s EnSpire presentation and communication software lets users showcase documents, objects and images. Features include image freeze, zoom, live annotation and measurement display.

EnSpire works with popular platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.

To simplify the software’s navigation, EnSpire Control Puck acts as a dedicated remote control. It enables resizing, refocusing and muting without the need of a complex interface.
