DJI said Tuesday its new flagship consumer drone, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro, features the company’s first triple-camera setup, adding a 70mm medium-telephoto lens to previous configurations.

“The additional 70mm 48MP medium telephoto lens gives beginner and professional content creators alike increased creative options when shooting aerial images and video,” B&H Photo Video said in a press release about the news.

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone‘s new lens is a 3x zoom option that joins a 24mm 20MP Hasselblad wide-angle lens and a 166mm 12MP full telephoto lens. The new 70mm lens provides “middle ground” in between the other two.

And in addition to the new lens, the other cameras used in other drone models are seeing upgrades. The 166mm 12MP telephoto lens gets a larger f/3.4 aperture and increase to 60 fps 4K video, for example.

“The increased light sensitivity results in reduced noise in low-light situations, and 4K footage is noticeably smoother with the faster frame rate,” B&H said.

With the improved optics, the new Mavic 3 Pro could be a useful tool for professional filmmakers. But its ease-of-use also suits beginners. Its omnidirectional obstacle sensing system uses APAS 5.0 technology to help it automatically avoid collisions. And a number of creative flight modes make it easier to get complex and dynamic shots.

Different configurations of the new drone include a a standard version with DJI RC remote ($2,199), plus two Fly More Combo versions with different remotes and more flight batteries plus other accessories. The highest-priced Cine Premium Combo, at $4,799, features Apple ProRes support for all three lenses and a built-in 1TB SSD drive.
