Apple’s slim and svelte M2 MacBook Air is currently cheaper by $150 on Amazon. The deal brings the price of the entry-level model down to $1,049 from $1,199.

You can save a similar $150 on the 512GB configuration of the machine.

M2 MacBook Air is the best portable laptop around

Featuring a redesigned chassis that’s slimmer and lighter than before, the M2 MacBook Air is among the best portable laptops in the market. What’s impressive is that despite its slim form factor, it delivers all-day battery life. Apple claims the M2 MacBook Air can provide up to 18 hours of juice, making it a true all-day workhorse.

This stellar battery life is made possible by Apple’s excellent M2 chip, which is both powerful and efficient. Apple claims the 2022 MacBook Air is 18% faster than its M1 sibling. And in GPU-bound tasks, you will see an even bigger performance jump.

All M2 MacBook Air reviews unanimously praised the machine’s beautiful design and fast performance.

Like the M2 MacBook Pro and Mac mini, though, Apple uses single NAND chips on the 256GB Air. So, its SSD’s performance is up to 50% slower than the M1 model. This could have a negative impact on your workload, especially if it is very demanding. To avoid such bottlenecks, it is recommended that you opt for the 512GB model.

Grab the M2 MacBook Air with $150 off

With a starting price of $1,199, the 2022 MacBook Air is about $200 more expensive than the M1 model. This could put it out of reach for many. But if you take advantage of Amazon’s latest deal, you can grab the M2 Air for $1,049. This is an excellent price for a competent machine.

You get a similar $150 discount on the 512GB model. It is available for $1,349, down from its retail price of $1,499.
