Apple is having a major outage of its online services. No less than 29 of them are reporting major problems, including the App Store, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Podcasts, and some iCloud services.
So it’s not just you. Stop rebooting your computer trying to fix it.
Update: Apple was able to quickly fix some of these, so the current total is eight services still having problems.
Update 2: All problems with Apple online services have now been resolved.
Many Apple services report an ‘outage’
Apple’s own System Status page lists the services that are experiencing an outage. At this point, they include:
- Apple Books [Resolved]
- Apple TV+ [Resolved]
- Apple Music [Resolved]
- Apple Fitness+ [Resolved]
- Find My [Resolved]
- Podcasts [Resolved]
- iCloud Calendar [Resolved]
- iCloud Contacts [Resolved]
- iCloud Mail [Resolved]
And there are many more now listed as “resolved.”
Exactly what an “outage” means varies by the service. For the App Store, Apple says, “This service may be slow or unavailable.” Find My reports that, “Users may be experiencing a problem with this service.”
