Apple’s powerful M2 and M2 Pro Mac mini are available with their first-ever discount since launch. Depending on your configuration, you can save between $19 to $49 on the 2023 Mac mini.

Amazon is providing a modest $19 discount on the entry-level M2 Mac mini. On the more powerful M2 Pro Mac mini with 512GB storage, you can save $49.

Apple announced the M2/Pro Mac mini at the beginning of the year. While the machine retains the same design and proportions as its predecessor, it boasts faster internals.

Compared to the M1 model, the M2 chip inside the mini provides up to 18% faster CPU and 30% faster GPU performance. And for heavier workloads, you can opt for the M2 Pro model, which delivers a 4-5x performance bump depending on your workflow.

On both Mac mini models, you get an HDMI 2.0 port, two USB-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, a headphone jack, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The M2 Pro Mac mini packs two additional Thunderbolt 4 ports. So, you can plug in as many high-bandwidth accessories as you want.

Mac mini provides the cheapest way to get into Apple’s ecosystem. It is also an ideal machine for someone looking for a compact but powerful PC or an HTPC solution.

Despite the faster chip, Apple reduced the price of the entry-level M2 Mac mini by $100 to $599. Amazon is offering a further $19 discount on the machine, bringing its price down to $579.99. If you want more storage, you can opt for the 512GB variant, which is available with a $29 discount.

For power users, the M2 Pro Mac mini is a better choice. The configuration with the 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB RAM, and 512MB RAM is available for $1,249.99 on Amazon. That’s a sweet $49 off its usual price.
