Case-Mate introduced a bit of a blast from the past Wednesday with its new 30-watt Fuel Brites USB-C Wall Chargers. The compact, potent GaN adapters are see-through and come in four cheery colors that bring to mind the iMac G3.

The four colorful chargers feature frosted plastic shells revealing the device’s innards, much like the iMac G3 did in Apple days of yore. The G3 came out to much applause in 1998 after Steve Jobs returned to Apple.

This follows a similar product release from Nomad last month. Their little GaN chargers aren’t as brightly colorful as Case-Mate’s, but the transparent one comes across in a similar way.

Case-Mate’s new chargers feature one USB-C port with a typical 30W of output. That’s ideal for charging various devices — particularly iPhones, but also iPads and even MacBooks. You can use them with anything that will charge via USB.

Four ‘brite’ colors

You can grab the spunky little chargers in four colors: electric blue, frosted white, neon yellow and vibrant orange.

Each one features a white base, which, again, brings to mind iMac G3. From the base, AC plug prongs fold up for easy travel when not deployed for use.

The regular price is $29.99. But a launch discount on Amazon saves you $6 (20%) for a price of $23.99. Or you can sign up for 20% off at Case-Mate.
