Mythic Quest season three is just weeks away, and Apple TV+ ramped up fan excitement on Tuesday with a trailer for the new season. The new episodes will pit the gaming company newly formed by Ian and Poppy against David and Mythic Quest.

Mythic Quest season 3: The struggle is real
Mythic Quest is a gamer-themed workplace comedy. It follows a group of developers who build worlds, mold heroes and create legends. But their hardest-fought battles don’t take place in the game – they happen in the office.
In season three, Ian (played by Rob McElhenney) and Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), have gone out on their own, and now must navigate the wider gaming world and their partnership at GrimPop Studios.
Back at the Mythic Quest offices, David [David Hornsby] settles into truly being in charge for the first time. Jo [Jessie Ennis] returns as his assistant — more loyal and militant than ever.
The show returns to Apple TV+ on Friday, November 11 with two episodes. These will be followed by one new episode each week of the 10-episode season.
Season 2 was brilliant
The Cult of Mac review of the second season (which wrapped up in spring 2021) says, “The creative team that drives the Apple TV+ comedy about game developers found the sweet spots that made the first season above average.” Scout Tafoya went on to say, “I can’t wait for season 3.”
Plus, the second season earned a 100% critics approval rating from the review aggregation sites Rotten Tomatoes.
And the third season won’t be the end of the show: Apple TV+ already committed to a fourth season. Sadly, neither upcoming season will include F. Murray Abraham, who left the show for undisclosed reasons.
The first two seasons of Mythic Quest are available now on Apple’s streaming service. Watching requires just $4.99 a month, and TV+ also offers thrillers, crime dramas, comedies and documentaries.
