Part of the value of an iPhone is all the accessories you can tap into, even when you’re miles away from them. The Bosma Aegis, for instance, lets you turn your door lock into a smart lock that you can open with your iPhone.

It’s on sale for $89.99 (regularly $119) during our Deal Days event, running through October 12. During this sale, you’ll find a ton of discounted gadgets, e-learning courses, home goods and more. You can shop them all right now in our Deal Days collection.

Lock and unlock anywhere, anytime

Rated five stars in our store, the Bosma Aegis is designed to work with the locks you already have, and you won’t even need to give up your key. All you need is a screwdriver to install the Aegis with any standard deadbolt. Once in place, it functions just like a regular lock. Then, turn the Aegis to unlock and use your key on the exterior just like you always have.

The Aegis runs on four AA batteries, so you don’t have to worry about connecting it to a power source or removing it to charge up. An included Wi-Fi gateway ensures that your Aegis is tied into your network, allowing you to control it using just your iPhone.

Once attached and connected, the Aegis works like a typical lock — but you can tap into its smart features. For example, auto-lock and unlock opens up the door when your iPhone gets within range. You also can connect it to a wide range of home-automation tools so you never have to fumble for a key again.

Guests and on-site workers can quickly be provided passcodes to use with the lock (and the codes can be erased or changed at any time). The built-in, six-axis sensor can alert you if a door is left ajar. And if somebody attempts to enter without permission, a loud siren alerts the neighborhood while the Aegis sends an message to your phone.

“Easy to install and easy to use,” verified customer Dave S. wrote, describing the Bosma Aegis. “Gives me a way to check on door status while I’m home or away. I can now lock and/or unlock my front door from near or far.”
