Casetify made a bold claim when it released its Bounce Case for the iPhone 14 series on September 7, along with its upgraded Impact and Ultra Impact series cases.

It said the Bounce is “the world’s most protective case for the mass market.”

“Tested to withstand over 156 drops on all angles and falls from up to 21.3 feet, the 6x Military Grade Standard Bounce Case is the most protective of its kind,” the company added.

Casetify recently released the Bounce Case as well as upgraded versions of it Impact Ultra and Impact cases for iPhone 14. They feature the “highest drop protection in their category and newly launched EcoShock proprietary material,” the company said.

“After spending more than 10 years researching and creating high quality accessories, Casetify is thrilled to keep on a path to support artists and create eye-catching designs,”  said Wes Ng, Casetify CEO and co-founder. “But from now on, our consumers can also rest assured that we have become the most protective accessory brand.”

‘Bounce Corners’

A striking feature of the Bounce Case is what Casetify called “Bounce Corners.” Their design resulted from rigorous drop testing that found 70% of a device’s most vulnerable points are in the four corners. The worst impacts can peel apart the screen from the main body.

Inspired by suspension bridges, Bounce Corners have compression ribs with three air cavities that allow for a cushioned contraction and bounce-back on impact, protecting the device from structural damage, Casetify said.

EcoShock material

Casetify also said it bolstered its claim to offer the “most protective phone case” by reinforcing the inner sides and the back of the Bounce Case. It used layers of a new proprietary and patent-pending material called EcoShock.

The plant-based EcoShock material turns the kinetic energy of an impact into heat, while its twister pattern dissipates it across the surface of the case, the company said.

In addition to the 40% plant-based material used in EcoShock, the entire case is made sustainably with the company’s “Re/Castify” upcycling program.

Extreme drop testing

The Bounce Case for iPhone 14 survived a series of more than 156 drops at all angles by impacting on a concrete and steel floor, meaning it can achieve six times the requirement for military-grade approval, Casetify said. It added the case also sports a drop height protection of 21.3 feet.

Featuring the same proprietary EcoShock technology, the Ultra Impact Case for iPhone 14 added a patent-pending bumper design. That allows for 130 consecutive drops from all angles, five times military-grade standard, and a drop height of 11.5ft.

Lastly, the Impact Case for iPhone 14 survived 104 consecutive drops from all angles, has a four times Military Grade Standard, including a drop height of 8.2ft.
