In the first trailer for upcoming docuseries Gutsy, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton take part in animated discussions with strong and accomplished women who inspire them.

The list of participants in the series, which premieres September 9 on Apple TV+, is truly varied. It includes famous names from different walks of life, including Kim Kardashian, Gloria Steinem and Jane Goodall.

Hillary and Chelsea Clinton celebrate Gutsy woman in Apple TV+ trailer

The Gutsy trailer, released Tuesday, follows Hillary Rodham Clinton — former First Lady, Secretary of State and senator — and her daughter, Chelsea, as they celebrate “gutsy” women.

The eight-part series is based on the Clintons’ The New York Times bestseller, The Book of Gutsy Women.

In the series, the Clintons — minus a certain former President named Bill — travel around speaking with pioneering “women artists, activists, community leaders and everyday heroes who show us what it truly means to be gutsy,” Apple TV+ said in a press release.

“We’re hitting the road to shine a light on women who inspire us to be bolder and braver,” Hillary says in the trailer.

The promo clip shows snippets of animated discussions with a variety of women, delivering moments both lighthearted and meaningful. There’s a lot of laughter and some good lines along the way.

“Every single person makes some impact on the planet every single day,” says iconic primatologist Goodall. “We can choose what sort of difference we make.”

“Speak truth to power,” says comedian Wanda Sykes. “When I throw rocks I’m throwin’ ’em up.”

Courageous and resilient women

Joining the Clintons are some of their personal heroes. They’re women the mother-daughter pair find courageous and resilient. The interviewees have impacted their local communities and the larger world, in many cases.

In addition to those mentioned above, they include author/activist Glennon Doyle and actresses Mariska Hargitay, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson and Amy Schumer. Celebrity-entrepreneur Kim Kardashian, rapper Megan Thee Stallion and comedian and TV host Amber Ruffin make appearances. And so do drag queen and model Symone (aka Reggie Gavin), soccer star Abby Wambach, political commentator Natalie Wynn (aka ContraPoints) and others.

Gutsy shows Hillary and Chelsea as you’ve never seen them before, revealing their special mother-daughter bond and the unique, multi-generational way they approach the important and timely issues highlighted in each episode,” Apple TV+ said.
