A classic action game gets fresh update in Jetpack Joyride 2. There are new weapons and equipment, and tougher enemies, too.
Fans of the original can strap on a jetpack and fly through a version with plenty of new features, on Apple Arcade starting today. And it’s now for Mac, too!
Go beyond the lab in Jetpack Joyride 2
The original Jetpack Joyride earned a cadre of fans for its endless-running, blast-everything-in-sight fun. The new version shakes things up a bit. It now offers levels to complete, and there are bosses to fight, like Professor Brain. That’s on top of a heap of new weapons, powerups and vehicles.
Players can choose as the classic Barry Steakfries or switch to Betty instead.
And Halfbrick Studios also build in arcade mode: mini games quite different from the regular game.
Now on Apple Arcade
Jetpack Joyride 2 is available now in the Apple Arcade section of the App Store. There are versions for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and there’s now a Mac version, too. No matter the platform, game controllers are always an option.
Apple’s gaming service also has the original version, renamed Jetpack Joyride+.
