Spotify is offering a three-month free trial to new subscribers for a limited time. The music streaming service typically has a one-month trial period.

Spotify is running the promotional offer through September 11 and across 135 regions worldwide. If you have never tried Spotify Premium, now is a good time to opt for the trial.
The extended three-month period will give you a better idea of whether you should ditch your Apple Music subscription or not. After the trial ends, you will be charged $9.99/month.
And if you have subscribed to Spotify Premium previously, you can try it again for three months by paying $9.99. That’s what you’d usually pay per month. You can only be eligible for this offer if you were a subscriber prior to July 15, 2022.
It is common for Spotify to run such marketing campaigns and offer its Premium subscription at a discounted rate or an extended trial period.
Spotify is the largest music streaming service with 433 million users, out of which 188 million pay for it. Apple Music comes in second, with an estimated 78 million subscribers.
Spotify takes on Apple Music with its latest promotion
Spotify’s latest promotion comes a few months after Apple Music raised its student subscription prices. The Cupertino giant also reduced the free trial period for its music streaming service to just one month—down from three—in February this year. If you purchase a new Apple device and have never tried Apple Music before though, you get to trial the service for six months.
Spotify has a free tier but with quite a few restrictions. Ads will appear after every 2-4 songs, and you are limited to six skips every hour. You also cannot download music for offline playback. There are no such restrictions in Spotify Premium. Plus, you can stream music at a higher 320kbps bitrate for superior sound quality.
