M1 MacBook Air delivers all-day battery life

The MacBook Air was among the first Macs from Apple to switch to Apple silicon in late 2020. While the exterior design of the machine remains the same as previous Intel-based models, the M1 chip allows the Mac to deliver unparalleled performance and battery life. Apple claims the MacBook Air offers “all-day” battery life and can last up to 18 hours on a single charge.

The M1 chip on the base model of the Air comes with an 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU. This is paired with 8GB storage and 256GB of speedy SSD storage.

Unlike the Intel-based Air, the M1 model does not suffer from overheating issues despite featuring a fanless design. This also means the machine will remain completely silent even under heavy load.

In our M1 MacBook Air review, we opened over 650 Safari tabs on the 2020 MacBook Air without any issues — all without active cooling.

Grab the M1 MacBook Air with a 10% discount

The M1 MacBook Air retails for $999. However, you can get it with a 10% discount on Amazon that drops its price to $899. The deal is only available on the gold color, with the other two colorways selling at a higher price.

The 512GB variant is available for $1,199 in space gray if you want more storage. That’s a sweet $50 discount from its retail price of $1,249. This model also comes with a slightly more powerful 8-core GPU, though the performance improvement will not be that noticeable in daily use.

The M1 MacBook Air is an ideal machine for college students. It is also the perfect Mac for anyone looking to enter into Apple’s ecosystem without spending a bomb.
